| BOOKINGS |
Transport bookings can be made by email, fax or electronically via our eTransport system. We must have written booking details - this acts as your authorisation to us to carry out the work as stated. |
There is now a link from our website to enable access to eTransport. If you are new to this booking method please phone us on 01749 333400 to obtain information on how to access the system. |
Fax bookings should be sent to: 01749 346249 |
|
Please ensure you include full collection and delivery details including postcodes, weights and dimensions of the goods, collection and delivery dates and all relevant access information. Contact phone numbers should also be given. |
Unless specified otherwise, for deliveries or collections of 5 pallets or more, we require access for a 13.6m articulated trailer. |
It is assumed that a forklift will be available to load or offload goods from the vehicle. Please be aware that the driver is not required to manually load or offload goods, this is the responsibility of the sender and the delivery point. |
If you require tail lift, timed, weekend or other special arrangements, or you have restricted access, please let us know in advance. Likewise if loading/offloading must be through the rear doors or roof of the trailer. We do our best to accommodate this type of 'special' delivery, but cannot guarantee this will be possible on every occasion. We do have some vehicles equipped with a Moffett Mounty forklift for sites where no forklift is available, please ask for details. |
If an articulated vehicle is significantly delayed at the loading or offloading point, then we do charge demurrage. |
Tail lift collections and deliveries in the UK would normally be arranged via Palletline. Please be aware that there are restrictions on the size and weight of pallets suitable for tail lift vehicles and check the suitability of the consignment with our traffic office. |
For deliveries to domestic premises or flats, tail lift delivery with pallet trucks is to the kerbside or nearest convenient point. |
For international deliveries, tail lift delivery is possible if we know in advance, however this type of vehicle is still less common than in the UK |
